Let's be honest, can any discussion of Jerusalem leave out the Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall (also known as "Mercaz Ha'Ir", the City Center)?



Ben Yehuda is always an ever changing street fair of musicians and entertainers, some looking for a shekel or two to be put into their cap, and others just looking to entertain you for free.

All the while, with the stability of familiar restaurants, cafes, and shops that have been around for quite a long time.

Ben Yehuda was hit by hard times over the past few years, but the city is heavily investing in the infrastructure and surrounding streets in the hope of bringing it back to its former glory and popularity as a pedestrian (and tourist) hangout.

It certainly fills up during the summer evenings.
