“From the Peak of Har Tzofim”

While you would think this post is about Har Tzofim, in actuality it is about Abu Tor for reasons that will soon become clear.

Driving on Hebron Road, turn East onto Naomi St. and you’ll find yourself in the mixed Jewish-Arab neighborhood of Abu Tor. Like much of Jerusalem, Abu Tor is a mixture of old and new architecture.

Tsruya Street

One of its most amazing facets of Abu Tor is its tremendous view of the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives.

And not to be outdone by it houses, is the "Shalom Forest" and Park attached to this town.

The title of this post is from a song by Yehoram Gaon – singer, Jerusalem City Council Member, and of course, a resident of Abu Tor.
